Children in hospitals
Fundació PortAventura celebrates the VII edition of the Fun Run, the most supportive race
2,200 people participated on Saturday May 20 in a day full of sports, solidarity nd activities for the whole family at PortAventura World. The benefits of the meeting will go to reinforce the projects of Pallapupas, a solidarity association that seeks to humanize the hospital stay of children and adults through positivism.
A total of 2,200 participants of all ages made possible a new edition of the Fun Run, the solidarity race of Fundació PortAventura. For the seventh year, the Foundation organized a day in which sport, fun and solidarity were once again the protagonists. The participants in the race toured a 6-kilometer circuit that took place inside the facilities of PortAventura Park.
Along with the race, different activities designed for all the members of the family were organized. Attendees were also able to enjoy two large classes of zumba organized by the Oncological Association Dr. Amadeu Pelegrí de Salou. This activity served to honor Murielle Reig, founder and president of this organization against cancer, who died a few weeks ago. The youngest were able to participate in the children's races accompanied by some of the PortAventura World characters. To complete the day, on the same day of the race the participants could also buy solidarity tickets to PortAventura Park for only € 21, which have contributed to increase the final amount destined to Pallapupas.
Sport and family fun for a good cause
Whether running or dancing, attendees showed their support for the projects developed by Pallapupas. Pallapupas is a non-profit organization that seeks to contribute to the humanization of hospital processes through positivism, theater and smiles. Thanks to their work, the Pallapupas team helps cope with the adverse situations that are experienced around the disease, both children and adults.
